Applying for Membership to Spiritwalker:
Spiritwalker is a family raiding guild who works as a team to advance and enjoy Everquest for what it is... a game, a hobby, an enjoyable past time that allows a break from real life and an opportunity for fun; all from the comfort of home.
Through structure, experience, team work, mature members, and fun we progress together in group and raid settings, including the newest content, all while maintaining our stress-free family atmosphere.
Below you will find our rules and expectations:
We are always seeking players who are mature, dedicated, motivated, able to follow directions, like to learn and enjoy raiding! Our scheduled raids will typically last from 8:00 pm CET until 1am CET (11am PST until 4pm PST). We raid EVERY Saturday as well as having scheduled and spontaneous raids during the week. Sunday is an off day so that members can have time to themselves. All members and applicants online during raid time are expected to attend. Whenever we are not raiding, you will see us working to better ourselves as well as the guild. Our members play this game to have stress-free, drama free fun, applicants are expected to do the same.
Personal Attributes:
Applicants and members should always work to improve themselves and make a positive impact upon the guild. A potential applicant should have an understanding of their class, be able to learn, willing to listen and follow directions, and enjoy playing it in both group and raid environments. We are happy to help anyone get up to speed from an absence if you are willing to catch up quickly, returning players are always welcome! You must have a drive and a want to progress, we are more then willing to help you learn and give a hand if it is needed but we are not going to babysit and do the work for you. :)
Raid Targets:
We are currently farming Crystallos and SoD zones while doing SoD progression with the intentions to gear up and progress to bigger and funner raid worthy content. We do also raid a variety of targets from both new and older expansions, we work hard to avoid any target that is not going to provide progression for the majority of today's players. We are always striving to help our members obtain their epic 2.0 (that does mean we have to do some Anguish raids) and progress their character no matter what level of play they are used to. We strive to keep everyone with a list of goals and looking forward to advancing their character, their play style, and our team.
Raiding Equipment Requirements:
| All members and applicants are required to always have access to the following utilities. These can be in the form of AA's, worn items, potions, or clickable items. If you use charged items such as a Gnomish Vanishing Device you will also be expected to carry a Gnomish Recharging Kit and Mana Batteries in order to recharge them. | |

Play Style Requirements:
- General Play Nice Policy.
- NO training, ks'ing, camp jumping, ninja looting, or acting a fool in open channels will be tolerated! Guild removal will follow as a result. Maintain your manners and always represent Spiritwalker with pride, dignity, and respect!
- We are not mandatory raiding, however If you are online you are expected to raid. There are no minimum attendance requirements and no penalty for not raiding. The guild as a whole works together as a team and counts on and depends on each and every one of our members to participate as much as possible. It is also in your personal best interest to raid since loot is done is on a point system which is explained further below.
- /Anonymous will absolutely not be tolerated! If you are accepted as a Spiritwalker applicant you are expected to fly the Spiritwalker tag with pride at all times, /role-play is fine if you wish to hide your class and level.
- MAPS! Before you apply you must have the most recent maps from Mapfiend.net. It takes less then 5 minutes! Simply download the latest Map Pack and unzip into the Maps folder in your Everquest directory. Make sure that it unzipped it directly to your Maps folder and not into another folder inside Maps. If you are in game when you download them you must camp to server select and log back in for them to take effect.
- Register on the forums
- Obtain an up-to-date
Magelo profile, it is your choice if you obtain a premium
(recommended for your ease) or free account.
You may find directions for obtaining a magelo on our forums, stickied at the top of the "Magelo Profile " forum. This gives you 4 weeks to do so, no stress.
- Spiritwalker only accepts mains.
- Alts are unlimited and have zero restrictions, once your main is Spiritwalker all alts and bots can also join.
- Multiple accounts: We prefer that all accounts are with us from the beginning. If you do not know your limits and try to play multiple accounts on raids and it ends up that you cannot handle the function of all accounts, you will be asked to only play a single main on raids.
- So long as you are a trail member you will not have access to the guild bank or the right to request raids.
- You must actively play during probation or let us know why you are absent. Your application will be denied if you go inactive without explanation, you may, however, reapply when your play time picks back up.
- The application takes less then 5 minutes to fill out. It is a fill in the blank form with the information required and room for extra notes. If you any problems contact Froakah in game or by e-mail at froakah @ spiritwalkerguild.org
Recruitment Process:
If you are interested in joining us after reading this page, fill out an application by clicking 'Apply to Join' at the bottom.
If your application is accepted you will be notified and given a guild tag. During this time your application will be posted to the Members Only area of our forums where guild members will make comments about their experiences with you. This trial period typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks, depending how much time we feel is needed to evaluate your compatibility with our team.
Loot:
When you join a raid, leave the raid, go afk or return from afk you need to send a tell to the raid admin so they know and you get the proper points rewarded to you. If you go afk and do not announce it the guess we have to take at how long you have been gone could be more than you were actually away.
Anyone who hosts a raid has the option to use other
loot rules. If points are used at all this system must be used. Anyone
using another loot system must announce before the raid begins what the
loot rules will be. If it is prescheduled, add the loot rules with your
scheduling of the raid and announce it at the beginning of the raid.
A Point Worthy Raid is Any Raid Lead or Approved by an
Officer.
Earning Points:
Points will be accumulated per real life person. They belong to the
person; you may spend them how you choose. When bidding for alt's, keep
in mind that it is taking points away from your main. Points cannot be
added together or transferred to another person. They will never be
deleted, although they may not be viewable if you were inactive in
raiding for an extended amount of time. You may only bidding with points
that are already listed on the points page. Bots (or multiple accounts)
are allowed on raids so long as you do not put the raid at risk by not
being able to properly play both characters at the same time.
You will be awarded 1 point for every 10 minutes of raiding. (Or 6 points
per hour) and 1 on-time bonus point if you are at the meeting point
specified for the raid at the scheduled start time. If you are doing
ports, or other related tasks that prevents you from being at the raid
on time you will still receive the on-time bonus. (This does not include
your personal supplies; you should be prepared before hand.)
You will also gain 1 point for every consecutive Saturday you raid. Meaning that if you raid this Saturday and then again next Saturday you get 1 point but then you miss the following Saturday you get no point for it nor the next one you attend.
Anyone who is afk, link dead, or otherwise not active during the raid for longer than 10 minutes will lose 1 point for every 10 minutes they are not available.
When you join a raid, leave the raid, go afk or return
from afk you need to send a tell to the raid admin so they know and you
get the proper points rewarded to you. If you go afk and do not announce
it the guess we have to take at how long you have been gone could be
more than you were actually away.
Administration:
Admin will be on a voluntary basis (Normally by Arcania or Ledau). One
person will be recording when people join and leave the raid and how
much is spent on items, One person will be checking corpses (normally
Meleas), looting cash drops and depositing them into guild bank to be
sold to cover guild expenses such as banner effects, this person will
also be announcing what drops. Then volunteers “(Item Name) 10
minimum First (second or third) call.” Where as people will send a
private tell with the number of points they wish to bid for said
item. Three calls for bids should be given at about 15 second intervals
and all drops should be handled in less than 2 minutes time. You may
only call for bids if you, or someone in the room with you, are not
bidding on the item. The admin volunteer (the one recording points
earned and spent) should be someone can attend the entire raid and
should post points earned and spent within 24 hours. (Read the ‘Taking
Admin’ post to learn how admin is done in full detail)
Spending Points:
Bid what you think the item is worth. If you try to play games with your
bids in order to save points, expect to be disappointed on some items.
If you really want an item, bid what its worth to you. If you play games
on an item which is number 1 on your "wish-list" and you lose, expect to
be annoyed.
If you have only a passing interest in an item, then its worth to you is
less, so bid accordingly. By the same token, if your main rival for an
item has more points than you, expect them to bid 5 more points than you
have available, but still bid because they a) might value it less than
you, b) they might try to pull a fast one if they think there is a
chance you will just throw in the towel and not bid, or c) they may not
be aware of your points.
You can only bid in multiples of 5, with a minimum bid of 10. (10, 15,
20, 100, 205, etc…) Should two people bid the same thing they will have
to re bid where as they may bid anything equal to or more than their
first bid, the multiple of 5 rule doesn't apply, they can simply add 1
point, keep the same bid, or add anything to it they wish.
Once a bid is entered it cannot be changed unless it is changed
immediately to correct an obvious typo.
Where there are no first round bids, No Drop/No Trade items will then be
open to bids of between 1 and 9 points. (You can bid 1, 2, 5, 7, 10,
12...) People who have no points and wish to go in for an item on a 1-9
bid may use the points they earned so far that day to bid, granting that
they do not end up negative if they win the bid.
If someone with zero banked points has already obtained an item under
the above rule, they should pass on all other bids for the day. With the
only exception being a 1 point bid for items that would otherwise rot.
If you bid on something and win, those points are deducted from your
balance immediately, although the change will not reflect on the web
page until after the raid is over. You may not spend those same points
again. If you bid on something and are out-bid, you keep the points you
bid.
In event of no bids in the first round, tradable items will go directly
to the guild bank and normal requesting rules apply.
Should anyone abuse the system (for example a certain class teams up
on a class specific item and all agree to take turns bidding and looting
for lower points, they will be charged a 50 point penalty the first
time, the second time they could face guild removal.
Bids by persons with points not attending the raid will only be allowed
if:
1.) The item is No-Drop and/or can be Multi-quested.
2.) The person outside the raid bids 20 or more points and the Raid
Leader considers the bid to be fair for the item.
3.) The raid will not be unduly delayed while the character is brought
to the raid to loot the item.
4.) or, No one attending the raid is bidding.
This rule applies to the person, not the character. Bidding with one
character then running an alt to loot is allowed.
Guests: Accumulate points as full members when guests are pre
approved to join us.
Quests
Raids called for quests, the quester will gain no points during the raid
and will get the item they reserved for no cost. (For example: Epic
fights) They should however refrain from bidding on other drops during
this time as a courtesy to other people. (This is not a rule, only a
suggestion)
If only part of a raid is for the quester, they will gain points as
normal during the rest of the raid time.
Where the raid was not called for the purpose of a specific persons
quest, the quest item will be bid on as normal loot.
Progression Items:
There will be no charge for keys, flags, or other progression items
unless there is only a limited amount. In this case they will be bid on
as normal.
Rollback's, Server Crashes, Zone Crashes, and Other Sony screw-up's:
Where you lose an item ONLY because of either a problem caused entirely
by Sony:
You may elect to either...
a) Receive the item you won the next time you are on a raid where it
drops for no additional points.
b) or, have your points refunded and carry on as if you had not won the
item.
If you choose option a), you should remind the raid leadership the next
time we are killing that mob. You may at any time change your mind and
go for option b), but only by posting in the raid points comments area
of the relevant raid and waiting for Froakah to update your points. Such
points would only become available once the points totals thread is
updated. You may NOT do this mid raid in order to suddenly generate some
extra points to bid with.
If you choose option b), or at anytime switch to option b), then as soon
as your points are credited to you, you loose all rights to go back to
option a). Option b) is as final as winning the item.
If you lose an item because you mess up a hand in, destroy it, etc. etc.
You will not get back your points and will not get another without
bidding more points for it. We do however strongly suggest that you
petition it, they can often trace your item and sometimes do refunds.
Mistakes
Where someone wants to bid on two items at the same time, with the same
points, with the specific intention of only winning one item, you must
pick which item to bid on.
Points totals can and will be adjusted to correct mistakes and
unsuspected situations.
The Fine Print
Cheating in any form will not be tolerated!
This includes but is not limited to: the purchasing of accounts, plat,
power leveling, or the use of any outside programs or macros!!
Good luck on your application!
